Interesting

Blogging live from Vegas right now. Haven't done too much here, and was more occupied listening to the draft on the way here. Larry English. Interesting. I wanted Maulauga, but I'm starting to like this English guy more and more. Hopefully a stud in the making. Can't wait to see who the Chargers get tommorow. Don't sleep on late rounds, gems are found there.

Bye Bye Madden

John Madden announced today that he is retiring from broadcasting. No more Monday Night Football with John Madden. This is very sad, and he is truly the greatest football commentator of all time.

Where Amazing Happens

The NBA playoffs are here. Lakers. End of story.
Even though I think that Lebron will end up taking the MVP award, the Lakers will win the championship. That's all that matters anyways, right? Lebron is a beast, and his time to win a championship is coming soon, just not this year.

Kanye's "Amazing" was used as the "theme song" for this year's playoff.

Lakers first round schedule. The 5th-7th games won't be needed.

Some new "Pick Cam" that will let you know who we draft, before we even draft them. I dunno, I kinda like the surprise of the draft, so not too sure about that. Cool idea though.

Chargers.com has the NFL Draft covered
Casey Pearce
Posted Apr 13, 2009

Chargers.com will expand its draft coverage this year with several new features, including a “Pick Cam” through which Chargers officials will announce each of the team’s picks before any other news outlet.

For Chargers fans who want to be the first to know who their team is drafting in the 2009 NFL Draft, Chargers.com will be the place to be.

The team’s official website is expanding its draft coverage this year, bringing fans several new features to provide the quickest and most in-depth information on the newest members of the organization.

Through “Pick Cam,” a new camera feed located just outside the War Room, fans will hear each selection on Chargers.com BEFORE any other news outlet, including NFL Network and ESPN. As soon as General Manager A.J. Smith and his staff make their decision, a Chargers official will bring the player’s name to Pick Cam.

And for fans who expect to be out and about on Draft Weekend can sign up to receive text messages from the team as each choice is made. To receive these Draft Text Messages, sign up simply by texting CHARGE to 41513 or click here. Standard messaging rates will apply.

Immediately following the announcement of each pick, a key member of the Chargers’ front office will be live on camera to discuss the team’s newest member. In addition, fans will be able to hear directly from the newest Charger before he speaks with any other news outlets as Pick Cam will air a live telephone interview with each choice.

Sunday afternoon, fans will have the opportunity to have their questions answered by the Chargers’ first-round draft pick. Fans may email questions to (address), and the top pick respond through an on-camera Q&A session.

As always, Chargers.com will provide in-depth information, video highlights of each choice and live video of press conferences, include the introduction of the top pick upon his arrival in San Diego Sunday afternoon.

The NFL Draft starts at 1 pm PT on Saturday (April 25) with Rounds 1 and 2 held on the first day. Rounds 3 through 7 will take place on Sunday morning beginning at 7 am PT.

The Chargers currently own eight selections in this year’s draft. They’ll pick 16th overall in the first round and 78th in the third. They hold three choices in the fourth round, which come at the 113th, 133rd and 134th picks. They’ll also pick in the fifth (148), sixth (189) and seventh (224) rounds.

The End...

of Spring break. Went to Sonic for the first time. Went downtown too. Other than that, just watched Pokemon, played Game Boy, slept a lot, and stayed up way too late too. I don't want to go to school tommorow. My picture for the "Imagery of Japanese Toys" was relived, thanks to Joe ( from SB). Was able to score a few things thanks to Mr. Chit and his trip to San Fran.

These last 2 or 3 months of school is gonna.

Car Crashes Into Carls Jr

760 KFMB:
"A vehicle struck a Carl's Jr. fast food restaurant today in Mira Mesa, but no one was injured, a fire dispatcher said.

The vehicle hit the Carl's Jr. on 10745 Camino Ruiz around 9:10 a.m., the dispatcher said.

The restaurant was closed while building inspectors determine whether the structure is safe, she said.

The cause of the crash was under investigation."

Padres

Went to the Padre game with Jose, Javier, Matt, Quang, Guerrero and Emerson. We took the trolley there, and got seats for 9 bucks, good deal. We ended up winning, the guy next to us was drunk x infinity, and it started raining too. We were Coke Zero mascots for 30 seconds. Yeah, that's it. I think we should all go to Padre games once every month.

More pics on Flickr + Jose and this new "jerk" craze coming soon.

Nostalgia

Ever wanted to watch the first Pokemon season? You know, with the Pokemon that you actually know? Cause pretty much after the first season, everything got all weird. Well, thanks to Spring Break, I found a place that has the whole first season ( and a lot more), but all I need is the first season.

Its the link on the first post, I warn you though, there are a lot of pop-ups, but its legit and does have all the episodes. So if you want a little nostalgic feeling of waking up on Saturday morning to watch the new episode of Pokemon, go right along.

Cove and Work

I went to La Jolla Cove yesterday with peeps from the Photography Club and Mr. Schmidt. It was a good time, got some good pictures. Also, when we were there, some guy proposed to his girlfriend, and we were there to get pictures. That was pretty cool. Also, there was this "Project Freeze" going on where people froze to raise awareness on human trafficking. We saw a Mr. Maheu look alike, and ate some good ass burgers too. Then at the end, we randomly saw Brandon there. The sunset was pretty nice too.

Project Freeze:

We also saw this like 6 year old holding his own Nikon SLR with a bag and everything:
Me: Dang, Mr. Schmidt, look at that kid, he's ballin'
Schmidt: What does ballin' mean?
Me: Like he has a lot of money,he's ballin'
Schmidt: Oh, I always thought ballin' meant something different
Me: Like what?
Schmidt: It either means you having sex, that was from the 70's, or that you're crying. And I sure didn't see him doing either.

Mr. Schmidt also thinks its funny when Asian people talk to their parents in a foreign language, then talk in perfect English after that. Hahahaha.

Then today, I went to church. Then had work. I forgot to freakin' clock in again. I need to stop forgetting. Then I got home, crashed, and started doing the upload process of all my pictures and what not. Should be a fun day tommorow. I want Spring Break to last forever.

UCSD Mess Up

Apparently, UCSD sent acceptance emails to people that werent actually accepted and didnt send the wrong emails and crap. Sucks, hopefully people at Mira Mesa didn't have to go through this.

"UC San Diego -- a school for the smart ones, supposedly -- mistakenly congratulated nearly 29,000 applicants on their acceptance, according to university officials.

Earlier this month, about 17,000 students were offered admission for the fall, leaving nearly 29,000 hopefuls out in the cold.
But on Tuesday, the school's communications office said an e-mail was sent Monday afternoon to all 46,377 students who applied for admission -- including the 29,000 rejects -- welcoming them to the campus.
A half-hour later, school officials said, they realized their mistake. Almost two hours after the first note went out, a second e-mail was sent, apologizing to 28,889 freshmen applicants for the mistake.
"No member of this department is more acutely aware of the emotional roller-coaster that this could cause for our applicants," Assistant Vice Chancellor Mae W. Brown said.
